In the second home made cellar video it’s finally starting to look like a hobbit house. While the inner space is definitely a root cellar, the outer hobbit house is more of an off grid underground house and could easily be adapted to create some living space if we want.

The root cellar is magic for keeping fruits and vegetables from freezing through winter here. Once we build some shelves we’ll also keep our canning in here to keep them cooler all year round. The hobbit house (outer cellar) has also proven perfect for aging or hanging meat at a constant fridge temperature.

Also, for some reason there are quite a few cameos from our little batch of german sheppard puppies (or shepherd if you prefer).
